Current Research

Targeted Control of Tau Protein Aggregation

Stephanie investigates how distinct molecular forms of Tau protein contribute to neurodegenerative disease. Rather than indiscriminately reducing Tau levels, her work aims to selectively manipulate specific pathogenic species. She is developing engineered proteins that actively disassemble toxic Tau fibrils. This approach allows direct interrogation of which Tau species drive neuronal dysfunction.
