Rigor, Reproducibility, and Transparency Seminar
October 12, 2 pm – 3 pm
Alice Berger, PhD
Assistant Professor at Fred Hutch
“On-Target Discovery: Rigor and reproducibility in genetic screens.”
Description:
Reverse genetic screens are powerful tools for drug target discovery and basic science. However, the history of human genetic screens is rife with irreproducible results and false positives. In this presentation, Dr. Berger will discuss key elements of experimental design of human CRISPR knockout screens that ensure rigor and reproducibility, leading to maximum value and impact.
