The AAMC subcommittee on Physician Scientists Postgraduate Training announces a virtual discussion series for students interested in applying to research residencies. These 90min sessions are exclusively for students to get more information about: research residencies generally, individual specialties, individual programs, the application process, and to directly ask their questions to PSTP directors, trainees and fellows who are in, or have recently completed research residencies.
The first session will be a broad overview of research residencies and Physician-Scientist Training Programs (PTSP)*. Questions like “What is a PSTP and what are the advantages of doing one?” “What are the different kinds of PSTPs?” will be addressed.
*Research-intensive residencies/fellowships
Future sessions will explore choosing between programs, applying, interviewing, inside scoop from current PSTP residents and a program fair to meet the program directors at different schools.

Recordings will be available after the sessions on aamc.org for those who do not register for the webinar.
