UW MSTP Alumni Andrew Stergachis selected for the 2022 class of Pew Biomedical Scholars

Dr. Andrew Stergachis, assistant professor (Medical Genetics) is one of 22 early-career scientists selected for the 2022 class of Pew Scholars in Biomedical Science. Andrew is an alumni of the University of Washington Medical Scientist Training Program class of 2015. Dr. Stergachis will unravel the structure and function of chromatin and gene regulatory features within “uncharted” regions of the human genome.

 

The Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences provides funding to young investigators of outstanding promise in science relevant to the advancement of human health. The program makes grants to selected academic institutions to support the independent research of outstanding individuals who are in their first few years of their appointment at the assistant professor level.
