I chose to come to the UW MSTP because of the people, the caliber of the research and clinical training and the location. When I interviewed, I was struck by how faculty and staff really know their students and are invested in their training. In addition, the students are welcoming, engaged, and genuinely happy to be part of the program. Science in Seattle is highly collaborative, highlighted by the numerous UW affiliated centers and institutes that students can choose to do their dissertation work. Finally, UW’s location cannot be beat, located within a vibrant city with easy access to the sea or mountains.
