Justin Thomas, E-22, wins 2024 ASH Minority Award

University of Washington is proud to announce that Justin Thomas, has been selected by the American Society of Hematology (ASH) to participate as one of nine to participate as one of nine graduate students in the 2024 ASH Minority Hematology Graduate Award (MHGA). The Minority Hematology Graduate Award, part of the ASH Minority Recruitment Initiative, encourages graduate students from historically underrepresented groups in the United States and Canada to pursue a career in academic hematology. This award, which provides $40,000 in funding, will enable Justin Thomas to spend two years conducting basic, translational, outcomes-based, or patient-oriented clinical research, and promote their findings at the Promoting Minorities in Hematology event at the 66th ASH Annual Meeting.
