Greg Barsh

UW MSTP alumni Greg Barsh (entered ’77, graduated ’84) was recently invited back to the UW to give two lectures. He gave a presentation on November 30th for the Division of Medical Genetics and on December 3 for the Department of Biology. Dr. Barsh studies the genetic and developmental basis for mammalian color patterns. He is the former director of Stanford University’s MSTP and is now an Investigator at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama. He is also the father of current UW MSTP student, Gabby Barsh, who is in her second year of medical school. You can read more about Dr. Barsh’s research on his lab website.
