Dr. W. Conrad Liles

Dr. W. Conrad Liles (entered ’80, graduated ’87) recently returned to the UW as associate chair for research in the UW Department of Medicine. He maintains an active translational research program in sepsis, host defense, inflammation, innate immunity, immunodeficiency disorders, and immunomodulatory therapy. Following residency in internal medicine at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital, he returned to UW in 1991 as chief medical resident and in 1992 became a fellow in infectious diseases. In 1996, he joined the UW faculty. Dr. Liles then took a position at the University of Toronto, where he was the vice chair of research and a professor in the department of medicine.
